What is it?
In breast reduction excessive skin and breast tissue is re-positioned or removed the nipple is brought to a higher position to give a aesthetic look. This is most frequently performed for heavy breasts that cause physical problems rather than for cosmetic appearance.
The Procedure
Surgery is performed under general anesthesia. Several different techniques are used depending on how large the breasts are and how much tissue needs to be removed. Preoperative marks are made as guidelines. In medium size breasts the nipple is left attached to breast tissue Excess skin and breast tissue is then removed and the nipple is placed in a new position. Remaining skin and breast tissue is then sutured together. AT HOME
You will have a bandage around your chest when you wake up. This will restrict your breathing It is there to provide support and help decrease swelling after surgery.You are advised to sleep in a semi upright position sutures are usually removed after 10 days and 30 days healing should be complete according to each individual case for more information please contact us. .
